About Us
Mission Statement:
WISC Kids Club will foster a nurturing, cooperative, educationally appropriate environment, enabling each student to flourish. It is the goal of this program and the desire of its' staff to partner with families in providing learning through many age appropriate hands-on experiences, to foster respect and caring for one another, and to create a setting in which children may explore the world around them.
Philosophy:
WISC Kid's Club's curriculum and programs are designed to meet the needs of the individual child with emphasis on socialization, learning through structured play, basic themes and concepts, independence, and ultimately kindergarten readiness. We believe the early years of learning are the most important. Our goal is to help develop "the whole child."
WISC Kids Club provides a unique opportunity for children. While meeting children's intellectual, social and developmental needs, we also offer organized sports and activities that teach children cooperation skills, and teamwork that promote a healthy lifestyle. Our experienced sports staff will guide children's learning of a wide variety of sports including soccer, basketball, fitness, tumbling and gymnastics...just to name a few. Children also have daily opportunities for arts and crafts, play, painting, reading, problem solving, music, outside exploration and fine motor skill development activities.

WISC Kids Club was established in 2003. Taking up a small section of the WISC, the program began to grow and create a wonderful name for itself throughout Williamsburg, as well as surrounding communities. Under the direction of Kristin Forbes, the program has transformed over the past four years, from its' modest beginnings as a day care center to a full fledged preschool program in a larger, more accommodating, and more kid friendly location.
The new Kids Club Preschool Facility opened its doors to students in February 2006. Students now have the opportunity to learn in a fully equipped, safe, and fun environment. Kids Club is a licensed preschool that is working toward its NAEYC accreditation. The school has developed into a six classroom program, offering full and half day enrollment. The school also houses its' own gymnasium and outside play area.
